I’ve written and posted a few pieces (here, here, and here) about the future of “flying cars” and the rapidly changing face of transportation, but ICON A5 is one of the better and most realistic approaches to bringing flight capabilities to the enthusiast marketplace. A light sport aircraft license will only set you back about $5,000 and the beauty below is a cool $140,000 which is really quite reasonable when you consider that it can land/take-off from both land and water … oh and that a Gulfstream G650 starts at $58 million.
