Being an American is amazing

I realize this post may be of fairly localized interest but if you have ever heard Jim Cornelison sing the United States National Anthem, then you probably know how stirring it can be.  He has been called “arguably the best singer of the National Anthem” and after seeing the Chicago Bears 2011 NFL season opener against the Atlanta Falcons it is easy to see (or hear) why.  It had special significance for most of the approximately 307 million Americans given that today is the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks that took 2,977 lives (excluding hijackers).

To all those who lost their lives and those who have suffered due to those tragic deaths, as well as the men and women who defend this national with their very lives, I thank you for everything.
